12 Westview students earn Pathway to Biliteracy Awards

The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District recognized 12 WVE students with their Pathway to Biliteracy Awards.
Pathway Awards recognize elementary and middle school students who have sought out second language acquisition opportunities in their communities or who have worked to maintain the native language spoken in the home.
The following students earned their Pathway Award at the end of the year:

- Italian: Lizbeth Guevara (3rd grade)
- Japanese: Samuel Guevara (5th grade)
- Persian: Zainab Rahimi (3rd grade)
- Spanish: Alice Machi Vicente (1st grade), Jostin Palma Flores (1st grade), Lindsay Vargas (3rd grade), Any Salinas Flores (3rd grade), Massiel Nunofio Ramos (3rd grade), Esly Galindo Flores (3rd grade), Elijah Batsell (3rd grade)
